Future Steps for the Prince’s Trust

As a charity patron of The Prince’s Trust, PeoplePlus is excited to take part in the ‘Future Steps’ Challenge kicking off on 1st February. This is the first fundraising event we will be taking part in this year to help achieve our £30,000 fundraising target for 2019.

‘Future Steps’ challenges teams of six to walk 795 miles, or 1,680,000 steps in four weeks – 10,000 steps each per day. This is the equivalent of walking the length of the UK!

20 of teams from across PeoplePlus have signed up for this challenge in order to have fun and get fitter with their friends and colleagues and raise vital funds for our charity partner The Prince’s Trust, to help young people change their lives.

Other fundraising events PeoplePlus will take part in this year include:

Million Makers – teams of employees will be challenged to turn an initial investment of £1,500 into £10,000 profit over six months.

Palace to Palace – a challenging but exciting bike ride from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle.

 

How does the Fundraising Money support the lives of Young People?

£5 could pay for a reading module towards and English qualification for one person

£10 could teach a young person how to manage their money with a day-long budgeting session

£45 could pay for a young person’s Employment, Teamwork and Community Skills qualification

£55 could pay for an hour of expert mentoring that helps a struggling enterprise become a successful business

£95 could buy a set of specialist books to support literacy in young people with dyslexia

£250 could plant the seed of success for a young business, giving the freedom to explore a brand new idea with a grant to test it out
