The Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) is a national membership organisation that represents the interests of over 900 organisations. Their members deliver the majority of Britain’s apprenticeships, traineeships and programmes for the unemployed. PeoplePlus is proud to become AELP’s newest patron.
As a patron PeoplePlus is now able to engage with AELP at a higher level becoming more visible to other members, stakeholders and the media. There will also be closer collaboration with employers and other learning providers. As a patron PeoplePlus can now play an extremely important role in supporting AELP to deliver the wide range of services on behalf of their members. AELP will engage with PeoplePlus regularly using PeoplePlus’ insight to help inform their strategy. PeoplePlus will also regularly engage with AELP members to ensure mutual benefit in insight and expertise.
AELP’s primary role is to represent the interests of its members, by effectively lobbying on their behalf to government departments and agencies. They work with their members, the government and employers to support the development of policies that deliver high quality, learner-centred, skills and employability services.
