Katrina Robson, FM Manager, TC facilities management, is a local employer based in the North East with unique recruitment needs.

She is responsible for a team of circa 100 people and also for managing the recruitment process. The roles she advertises are in very high demand; permanent, low-skilled and well-paid roles alike, which sometimes requires her to sift through hundreds of applications. Katrina has been keen to recruit quality candidates for the roles, however, this can be challenging given volume of applications and the need to fill vacancies in a timely manner. Hence, Katrina reached out to us for support.

Adding value with our support services

Our role has been to simplify this laborious exercise and only put through for interview candidates who were briefed about the role, had all of the relevant documentation completed and most of all, who were genuinely interested in the role and bought into the company culture.

Paul, our Regional Sales Manager for North East, helped her develop a process tailored to the very specific recruitment needs in line with TCFM policies. Following that, our dedicated Vacancy Coordination Team pre-screened jobseekers for the role, advertised the opportunities available, and carried out the all the necessary check to ensure all prospective candidates had the correct documentation ready. Another thing that our team helped Katrina with was supporting customers get bank accounts set up in line with company requirements.

Efficient interview process

Katrina and a member of her management team visited one of our offices to present a detailed description of the role to the jobseekers, allowing them the opportunity to ask questions in real time. Interviews with those interested took place right there and then, with applicants hearing the outcome and feedback on the day.

Recruitment success

Over 60 of our jobseekers on the Work Programme have got a permanent job with TC Facilities Management. One of the successful candidates is Carl Skilbeck, who now works as a cleaner at TC Facilities Management. As with all our jobseekers whom we help into work, we make sure Carl has all the support in place he needs to perform and enjoy his role. Our dedicated Employer Relationship Manager carries out frequent reviews on and off-site reviews to ensure everything is running smoothly.
