We are delighted to announce that following a recent Ofsted inspection, we achieved a Grade 2 (Good) for quality of teaching, learning and assessment delivered through our Skills provision.

The assessment included group and individual interviews, calls and questionnaires gathering views of our apprentices, jobseekers and employers with regards to our services.

The report, published yesterday on the Ofsted website, details our continuous commitment to delivering high quality teaching and learning services. Some key findings from the report include:

  • A very high proportion of our pre-employment learners, on programmes for unemployed adults, successfully complete their qualifications
  • Apprentices and learners receive excellent care and support that enable them to gain their qualifications; many receive very good support to overcome significant barriers to learning
  • Pre-employment learners develop a good range of skills required for employment such as problem solving, teamwork, and maths. As a result, they grow rapidly in confidence

The Ofsted Grade 2 is welcomed at all levels of our business and we are proud to showcase the report as a testimony of the dedication of our assessor-tutors’ and leadership, ensuring that we continue to transform people’s lives through work and training.
