The first national UK Employability Day takes place on Friday 15 April.

UK Employability Day is an event for the whole employment support sector, when we’ll be throwing open our doors to local stakeholders, agencies and businesses to show what employment support means at the frontline and the impact it is having in the local area.

This is a great opportunity for us to tell our communities about the crucial work that is taking place on their doorstep and help us understand how we can support each other in the future.

More than 50 of our offices and academies across the UK are taking part in the event, organising activities such as jobs fairs – matching Work Programme participants to employers with live job vacancies and apprenticeship opportunities, and showcasing some of the fantastic businesses our enterprise customers have set up.

Many of our customers will be on hand to describe their own experiences of the programme and finding work, and there will be a chance for people to meet advisors from the Money Advice Service, join skills training and health and wellbeing sessions and chat to representatives from Jobcentre Plus and some of the specialist organisations we work with.

If you are an employer or a participant on the Work Programme with us and would like to come along on the day, please get in touch with your local office to find your nearest event.
