The Merlin Standard
We’re committed to being fair, honest and transparent with our partners, and to creating a positive and supportive environment, and this is recognised by our accreditation by the Merlin Standard. Designed by the Department for Work and Pensions, the Standard aims to encourage excellent supply chain management and ensure fair treatment of partners and subcontractors.
Since the launch of the Standard, the companies that joined together to create PeoplePlus have completed three Merlin Assessments – one in July 2012, in June 2014 and in June 2016. The assessment focused on four fundamental and integrated principles: Supply Chain Design, Commitment, Conduct and Review. In 2016, PeoplePlus received an overall assessment outcome of 81%, with the report noting: “Over the life of the contract partners have developed trust and confidence in others and recognise the benefits of working together to support customers and improve the performance of the contract.”
As an organisation, this independent assessment of our relationships with our partners and our treatment of sub-contractors, underpins the strength of our supply chain management processes and the way we work with our partners.
