PeoplePlus Careers Service has been delivering high quality and impartial careers advice in custody since August 2020 and now operates in 14 prisons across the Midlands, North, and East of England, including Bedford, Bure, Deerbolt, Durham, Holme House, Kirklevington, Littlehey, Lincoln, Norwich, Nottingham, Ranby, Stocken, Sudbury and Wayland.

We take the time to sit down with prisoners and discuss their options, their experience, their skills and knowledge, and look at the opportunities available to them in the region they are released into.

We have strong links with employers across the Midlands and East of England who can offer work to prisoners once they leave, and it is our job to prepare prisoners for interviews, to improve their CV, to improve their confidence, and to educate them about the role they will be applying for.

"After being released from prison, I gained employment 3 weeks later with an environmental company. After working on the agency books for 6 months I have been offered a full-time contract which I have accepted. This has given my confidence a huge boost and motivated me to achieve more in both my personal and professional life." Daniel - Careers Service User
