The food manufacturing programme has been designed to incorporate the evolving needs and demands of diverse businesses. These qualifications are for anyone starting out in, or progressing in, a career in food manufacturing. You could be working in a wide range of industries, from baking to brewing and confectionery to retail. You will learn essential skills such as food manufacturing and allergy awareness knowledge, health and safety and accident reporting. Our courses are tailored to employer’s criteria so you will be equipped with all the employability skills needed to be successful at interview.

Eligibility

You must be 19 or older (this does change to 16 depending on your location)

You must be claiming State Benefits (JSA, ESA, Income support or Universal Credit) or on a low income.

We will carry out Initial Assessment to ensure you are on the right programme and level.

Funding 

Our Skills Support for the Unemployed and Adult Education Budget funded programmes are co-financed by the Education and Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund. This enables us to provide fully funded courses for unemployed people (or people on a low income) and provide businesses with a talented pool of individuals.
