Last weekend, four members of the PeoplePlus team based in our Manchester office used their volunteer day to help out at a local community Halloween event in Haughton Green, Denton – the Spooky Trail.
The trail involved a long winding path through the forest decorated with ghastly ghouls and punishing props, everything from a butchers table where children could take their picture behind a fake torso making for some great photographs, to a banquet table of mannequins and a few skeletons tucking into some very questionable treats!
Involved on the day were Martyn Walsh, a business advisor for our Enterprise team who put in an astounding amount of work preparing the whole event, running the event on the day and packing everything away afterwards – all while dressed as a very fetching Fryer Tuck; Ben Speight, one of the administrators for our New Enterprise Allowance contract alongside George Edwards our NEA team leader who together made excellent stewards keeping everyone safe on the night. Also joining in on the fun we had Marketing Manager Helen Clarke who decided to dress up as a zombie in order to man one of the stands on the day.
The event was organised by Eventfull – an organisation that puts together events by the community for the community with all the money raised going back into the project in order to host more fun, family friendly events for the children of Denton.
