Celebrating Success in Apprenticeships Across the Country
The National Apprenticeship Awards are now in their fifteenth year and recognise businesses that grow their own talent with apprentices and individual apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their work-place.
For the second year running PeoplePlus is sponsoring the awards; this year our category is the Recruitment Excellence Award, celebrating businesses that have taken an innovative approach to the recruitment of apprentices.
Over the past three weeks, regional finals have been happening across England, with nine ceremonies taking place to crown regional winners in each category. The overall winners will now attend the national final in November to be awarded overall category winners in the UK. As a sponsor of the awards, PeoplePlus has been at every ceremony to present the awards to the winners and see first-hand how apprenticeships have made a real difference to organisations and individual careers.
As the UK’s largest apprenticeship provider we are deeply proud to be associated with recognising apprentices that have shown outstanding commitment to their learning and in turn made a significant contribution to their workplace. As well as a key way to reduce the country’s skills gap, apprenticeships are vital in equipping workforces of today and the future with the skills that employers need to grow and compete in an ever challenging marketplace.
Managing Director of PeoplePlus Simon Rouse comments
“It was a privilege to be a part of these award ceremonies. There really has never been a better time to employ or become an apprentice. As the main sponsor of the awards for the second year running, it has been a pleasure to see dedicated employers and apprentices gain the recognition they richly deserve. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the culmination of these regional finals, in the national award ceremony in November and would like to wish everyone taking part the very best of luck!”
pied, and what better way than engaging with education. You have to be consistent in your visits because they rely on seeing you, for support and hope in achieving a qualification.”
