PeoplePlus Glasgow hosted a combined event which was attended by various partner organisations and employers to raise funds for our designated charity the Princes’ Trust, and also to continue the 1st birthday celebrations for Fair Start Scotland. The morning saw cakes of various shapes and sizes which had been baked by members of staff, and were judged by some of our colleagues from the Scottish Government.
There were also presentations and talks delivered by Employer Services, Community Engagement Team and Skillzminer, who delivered a very interesting presentation explaining the application which has recently been introduced to further support our participants on their journey into employment.
Fair Start Scotland is the Scottish Government’s flagship employability programme which was launched in April 2018, as a service to support unemployed people in Scotland get back into sustainable employment. PeoplePlus delivers the Fair Start Scotland programme in both Glasgow, and the Highlands & Islands.
