During August and September our Justice division will be hosting three round-table events to explore the benefits of employing ex-offenders
Did you know over half of all employers struggle to fill vacancies due to skills shortages?
But 92% of employers who have filled vacancies with ex-offenders say it’s enhanced their reputation and helped them win new business.
The Justice to Employment Round-Table Seminars will encourage engaging and thought provoking discussion around employing ex-offenders and the potential benefits to employers.
Employing ex-offenders can improve retention, reduce absence and recruitment costs and will enable companies to make a difference. If you are an employer who may benefit from attending one of our events, please email justice@peopleplus.co.uk for more information.
The events are taking place on:
Wednesday 29th August 10.30am-2pm The Clubhouse, Angel Court, London
Tuesday 11th September 10.30am-2pm Edmund House, Birmingham
There will be a presentation on how employing ex-offenders can work for businesses, open-table discussion in a Q&A session, the opportunity to hear first-hand from some employers how it worked for them, and lunch will be provided.
At London’s event Mark O’Hagan the joint CEO from the East of England Co-op will be discussing the CSR case, the business case and the rewards of hiring people with something to prove.
Birmingham’s event will hear from James Knox – Community Investment Manager for Ricoh UK and he will be discussing; why reducing re-offending is important to Ricoh UK, the activities that Ricoh UK provide, the impact on ex-offenders and Ricoh’s tips for supporting the reducing re-offending agenda
The event is free of charge but advance booking is essential
