Looking for a new job? Got time to care or build a new career?
Whatever you’re doing now, now’s the time to think about a new career in construction or health and care.
There’s thousands of new jobs in these sectors across Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent waiting for local people like you to apply and make a difference, and many of them will be advertised at the first virtual #StokeStaffsJobsFair on Thursday 14th January between 11am and 2pm.
From painters to plumbers, the construction industry needs more skilled workers. As well as on-site roles, the industry also needs people to fill the wide range of positions in the supporting services. Whatever qualification you have or whatever experience you have, you’ll probably find a role within the construction industry – and that includes those currently working in the hospitality and retail sectors.
But maybe it’s time to care? There’s also thousands of jobs across our area in community and health and care settings. If you’re compassionate with great interpersonal skills, there’s few careers that are so personally rewarding. If you want to make a real difference in people’s lives, a health and care career could be perfect.
Interested? Co-hosted with the Department for Work and Pensions and People Plus, the #StokeStaffsJobsFair will have everything you need to know to apply, including:
- Links to opportunities from a range of employers across our area
- More information about training and why you should get into health and care and construction
- Live Q+A sessions
- Live sessions to help with CVs and interviews
- Videos and information about training
So, save the date! Simply go to the hashtag #StokeStaffsJobsFair using Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn between 11am and 2pm on Thursday 14th January to find out more and get started on your new career.
