SRAG Conference a Success
On Tuesday 28th November members and partners of our Social Recruitment Advocacy Group (SRAG) came together for the third and final time for 2023 to share best practice, listen to insightful presentations and celebrate success.
Hosted by The Rt Hon. Anne Milton, the event kicked off with an presentation from Tony Wilson, Director of the Institute for Employment Studies where he shared with the Group the four main reasons for economic inactivity, and what employers should be doing to open up employment opportunities for everyone.
Members then enjoyed round table discussions, where they were able to give feedback on two of the toolkits the Group has been developing. 'Developing and Maintaining a Neuroinclusive Workplace' and 'Supporting Prison Leavers Through Employment' have been co-created by PeoplePlus and key SRAG members. The discussion was the opportunity for inclusive feedback, to ensure the final toolkits and truly co-created in order to have maximum impact and benefit for SRAG members. These toolkits are one of the many benefits that members of the SRAG benefit from, in order to further support businesses with inclusive recruitment practices.
The morning concluded with a ceremony of recognition, where members who had achieved their Charter Mark were celebrated and congratulated. Well done to SecuriGroup (Bronze), G4S Secure Solutions UK, Physiological Measurements Ltd, Webhelp UK (silver), Amey, Reed Boardall, and Morrison Water Services (Gold) for their achievements.
The Group has a packed calendar of events for 2024. If you would like to get involved in the Group and understand more about how your business can recruit responsibly, get in touch with us [email protected]
