Help for people being made redundant
Losing a job can be tough. But we’re here to help in the toughest of times.
If you are at risk of being made redundant or have been made redundant in the last three months, we can help you get back on the payroll – for free.
Our Greater Birmingham and Solihull team will work with you to devise a tailored plan to pick up the skills you need to impress potential new employers.
And it’s all flexible. You can learn in traditional classroom environment or online.
You’ll get access to our Pathways to Employment programme to upskill in areas like:
- Administration
- Call centre
- Construction, including CSCS cards
- Customer service
- Food manufacturing
- Hospitality and catering
- Personal skills
- Security
- Warehousing, including forklift truck licence
You’ll pick up accredited qualifications that employers are looking for and we’ll support you with CV writing, job searching, job applications and interview techniques. We can also provide English, maths and IT training to give you the edge over the competition.
We can also support employers who are having to make tough decisions about redundancies. Speak to one of our team for more information.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this programme, you must be:
- Aged 16 or over
- Employed and at risk of redundancy, or unemployed due to redundancy in the last three months
- Living or working in Birmingham, Solihull, Wyre Forrest, Bromsgrove or Redditch
