Skills Support for Redundancy in Greater Birmingham & Solihull

We provide fully funded, tailored training to support individuals who are at risk of redundancy, or have been made redundant in the last 3 months, as well as employers who are facing difficult staffing decisions.

We work with the UK’s leading organisations, and can source employment opportunities on pathway completion.

Due to Covid-19 impact we have flipped our delivery model and all our delivery is done online, however once restrictions are lifted we will resume to with face to face workplace delivery.

For now, we will virtually meet you, decide on a suitable plan to upskill you or your employees and then will deliver exactly what is agreed.

Our trainers are all industry specialists with proven and extensive credentials.

Pathways to Employment Training 

Each pathway contains a selection of qualifications that have been specifically selected with your needs and requirements in mind.

Training could also include support with English, maths and digital literacy as required to help individuals thrive in new workplaces or roles.

We support with CV writing, online job searching, completing applications and interview techniques, or signposting you to local services that will be able to offer additional support.

Distance learning

PeoplePlus also offer a range of fully funded distance learning opportunities to individuals. All the courses available are Level 2 and are fully accredited. The courses available include:

The SSR programme is co-financed by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), a wide range of training can be accessed at no cost to you or your employer.


  • Members of staff must be aged 16 +
  • Employed and at risk of redundancy, or Unemployed due to redundancy within the last 3 months
  • The employer must be registered in the Midlands SSW LEP areas -Birmingham, Solihull, Wyre Forrest, Bromsgrove or Redditch.
