One to one support into work for people in Nottinghamshire
PeoplePlus is one of seven members of the Connected Communities Consortium, alongside Asuria, Earlybird AI, Futures Advice, Standguide, The Better Health Generation, and Transform and Achieve. PeoplePlus delivers Individual Placement Support for residents of Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire South, and provides employer engagement across the region.
What it is
Connect to Work is a free, voluntary employment support programme. It's funded by the UK Government as part of Get Britain Working, and led locally by the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA).We're part of the Connected Communities Consortium, a partnership of local organisations delivering the programme together. PeoplePlus provides one-to-one employment support for residents of Nottingham City and Nottinghamshire South, and works with employers across the area.
Who it's for
You may be able to join Connect to Work if you:
- are aged 18 or over and of working age
- live in Nottingham City or Nottinghamshire
- are disabled, have a health condition, or face other barriers to work, including lived experience of the criminal justice system
- are out of work, or in work but at risk of losing your job

What support includes
You'll work one to one with an employment specialist who helps you find work that fits your goals, your strengths and your health. The support is built around you and carries on once you've started a job.If you're out of work, we'll help you find and move into a job that's right for you.If you're in work but worried about losing your job because of your health or other challenges, we can help you:
- stay in work and manage your health and wellbeing
- talk to your employer about adjustments that could help
- understand the support or benefits you may be entitled to
- find solutions to challenges at work
