PeoplePlus will deliver education and industries at HMP Millsike
HMP Millsike is due to open in the Spring 2025, it is the UK’s newest, and first 'green' all-electric prison. It is a Category C, male prison. PeoplePlus will be supporting thousands of men over the next 10 years through education and employment services delivered in the prison. HMP Millsike will be operated by Mitie’s Care & Custody team on behalf of the Ministry of Justice.
The prison is leading the way in sustainability, consuming 75% less energy than traditional facilities. It operates entirely on electricity and utilises carbon-reducing technologies such as solar panels and heat pumps, setting a new standard for eco-friendly practices in the UK prison system.

Our education offer will include; Functional Skills, art, pottery, IT, sport, construction, barbering, barista and many more. Men will have the opportunity to work in; waste management, laundry and sewing services and manufacturing.
