All the fun of the Jobs Fair!

In September, hopes were high for a series of events lined up in Glasgow, Stockton-on-Tees, Dartford, Darlington and Folkestone/Dover. The Tonbridge event on the 17th of November completed the current round. Putting on face to face events can be challenging post-Covid, so its brilliant to be able to report real enthusiasm for the humble Jobs Fair!
A Jobs Fair is nothing without jobs. We are hugely grateful on behalf of our participants to each and every representative who took time out of their day to day to come along from over 60 employers and training providers, demonstrating our shared values and goals on how social recruitment can make both societal and business sense.
We have to call out a couple of these amazing employers - Securitas and NIC Services - as their representatives have gone on camera to celebrate their partnership with PeoplePlus. Chatting to Employer Relationship Manager Darren Christie in Glasgow, Clare Reilly, Recruitment Lead for NIC Services Group, and Gregg Adam from Securitas share what working with PeoplePlus does for them. Over 50 interviews were set up off the back of the Glasgow fair, and employers who attended have added around 20 new staff members to their teams.
Over 200 (!) people attended the Dartford event - with more than 10 job starts (to date) directly related to introductions made on the day.
In Folkestone, 27 interviews were arranged and 17 job offers made (including 2 on the day of the fair).
21 employers attended in Stockton-on-Tees, with 35 interviews booked. More great news will be added from Tonbridge soon.
