Upon joining programme, Alex had many barriers to overcome due to social anxiety. Having struggled through lockdown and enforced isolation, Alex had struggled to leave the house, meet new people and be with large groups.
The primary focus for Alex was to develop his confidence and prepare him to engage with placements ready to decide what career path to pursue. During his time on placement Alex has continued to develop his confidence by engaging in workshops and team building activities and has quickly overcome these obstacles.
The progress that Alex has made has been fantastic and has been noticed at home with a more positive outlook and commitment to his work. To mark his achievements, he was awarded Jobs Growth Wales learner of the month. Well done, Alex!
