Emmi-Leigh first joined us through our Jobs Growth Wales+ programme as an Engagement Learner, where she embraced every opportunity to grow and develop. With consistent effort and a positive attitude, she progressed onto the Advancement Programme, completing both her Employability and Personal Development (EPD Introductory Award and EPD Award). These qualifications helped her build the confidence, employability skills, and independence she needed to prepare for the world of work.
Alongside her studies, Emmi-Leigh also celebrated a major personal achievement of passing her driving test demonstrating her commitment not only to her education and career, but also to her personal independence.
Her progress continued when she successfully secured a 12-week paid training placement with one of Europe’s leading airlines. Emmi-Leigh excelled during her training, impressing her employers with her professionalism, enthusiasm, and determination to succeed.
As a result of her outstanding performance, Emmi-Leigh was offered permanent employment - a fantastic achievement that highlights just how far she has come.
Emmi-Leigh’s journey shows what is possible when talent meets dedication. From Engagement Learner to Advancement Learner to gaining qualifications, passing her driving test, and now beginning a career in aviation, she has proven that with hard work and the right support, young people can truly achieve their dreams.
