Gloucestershire Carers Hub Named Finalist at the Carers UK Awards 2026

We are delighted to announce that Gloucestershire Carers Hub, delivered by PeoplePlus, has been named a finalist for Outstanding Carer Service at the Carers UK Awards 2026.
Being recognised on a national stage is a tremendous honour and reflects the dedication, compassion and hard work of everyone involved in supporting unpaid carers across Gloucestershire. Most importantly, it is recognition of the incredible carers we work with every day, whose strength, commitment and resilience continue to inspire us.
At PeoplePlus, we are passionate about helping people improve their wellbeing, independence and quality of life. Through Gloucestershire Carers Hub, we are proud to support thousands of unpaid carers with information, advice, wellbeing services, training, peer support and opportunities to connect with others who understand the realities of caring.
To be shortlisted alongside so many outstanding organisations and individuals from across the UK is both humbling and rewarding. The nomination highlights the positive impact that can be achieved when carers, communities, partners and support services work together to ensure carers feel recognised, valued and supported.
This achievement would not be possible without the carers who share their experiences with us, helping to shape and improve the services we provide. Their feedback, insight and determination drive us to continually develop support that meets the needs of carers at every stage of their caring journey.
We would also like to thank our dedicated colleagues, volunteers, partner organisations and commissioners who work tirelessly to make a difference for carers across Gloucestershire. Their commitment and passion are at the heart of everything we do.
While we are incredibly proud to be finalists, this recognition is about much more than an award. It is an opportunity to celebrate the vital contribution unpaid carers make every day and to continue raising awareness of the support available to them.
