Magdalena's Journey from Grief to Success

Magdalena has emerged as a beacon of resilience and determination. Her story showcases the incredible impact that support and opportunities can have on an individual's life. Originally from Poland, Magdalena faced immense distress and struggled with high levels of anxiety and depression after losing her partner. However, PeoplePlus has paved the way for a remarkable transformation.
Magdalena's journey with PeoplePlus began in July 2022, where she connected with her key worker, Martin. Together, they charted a course for her future. Recognising the importance of a comprehensive plan, Magdalena embraced the 12-week Progression group for Stress, Anxiety, and Depression. This provided her with a strong foundation to overcome her emotional challenges.
Motivated by her progress, Magdalena went on to attend the Five-week routeway ran by Lead Trainer, David. Through this programme, she gained valuable skills in PMA (Positive Mental Attitude), removing obstacles, interview techniques, CV and cover letter writing, as well as enhancing her communication skills. Additionally, Magdalena actively participated in "Let's Walk" and "Good to Gab" sessions, which further boosted her confidence and expanded her social circles. Notably, her English communication skills improved significantly during this period.
During a regular meeting with her Key Worker, Magdalena expressed an interest in working in the security industry. Recognising her ambition, Martin swiftly arranged for her to receive the necessary SIA training. Magdalena successfully completed the training, demonstrating her dedication and commitment.
In a collaborative effort, PeoplePlus reached out to their trusted partner organisation, Smart Works. Recognising Magdalena's potential, Smart Works provided her with interview clothes and conducted specialised interview techniques to ensure she was well-prepared. Equipped with newfound confidence and professional attire, Magdalena faced her job interview with SecuriGroup, a leading security company.
Magdalena's perseverance paid off as she impressed the interviewers and secured a position with SecuriGroup. Today, she is flourishing in her new job, finding fulfilment in her role, and embracing the opportunities it brings. Importantly, Magdalena understands that her journey doesn't end here. PeoplePlus continues to provide ongoing support, ensuring she thrives in her career and personal growth.
