Optimising His Future: Anthony’s Journey from Idea to Digital Agency

Anthony needed support to start his dream business of a digital marketing agency specialising in search engine optimisation. Anthony had 10 years’ experience as a web developer and a social media executive but expressed concerns around his own knowledge of the legalities of running a business, such as where to register as self-employed and how to do so. He also hadn’t decided if he wanted to be a sole-trader or a limited company at this stage.
He asked his Advisor, Daryl, questions around the right company structure for him, how he should work with his business partner going forward and how best to reach the small business market that he wanted to target with his agency.
Anthony also had no current business plan and required support in structuring this document, he asked for help in writing a cash flow forecast and predicting his revenue for the rest of the financial year.
Although Anthony was concerned about his ability to keep up with developments and the increasing need for Search Engine Optimisation, his enthusiasm and passion for his agency ensured that he worked hard to learn as much as he could about the sector before launching his business.
Anthony attended a business planning workshop which he believed would give him the confidence and knowledge to make a viable business plan, and he certainly did.
Anthony’s now up and running company specialises in SEO, Content Writing, Graphic Design and Marketing. Their primary focus is to work closely with clients to help them succeed in setting and meeting their marketing goals and give them a return on investment. They offer total support and a commitment to communicate their ideas in a strategic, creative, and cost-effective manner.
The ideal client for them is a small business that can’t afford the cost of using the services of a high-end marketing firm. This means that Anthony and his company can give back to small businesses who need extra help and affordable support, just like he needed when he started his venture.
