Securing a New Future
Daniel came to us with a clear ambition – to build a career in the security sector. Having previously worked with National Rail, in various transport-related roles, and within the education sector, he was ready to take his skills in a new direction. Daniel recognised the wide range of opportunities available in security from door supervision and retail security to event stewarding and surveillance operations and was eager to explore these paths.
After joining The Restart Scheme, Daniel began working closely with his Employment Advisor to identify the right support to help him reach his goals. He was introduced to the full range of training and development opportunities available through PeoplePlus, setting the foundation for his next steps.
With the guidance of our dedicated trainer, Rachel, Daniel took part in sessions designed to boost his self-confidence, enhance his employability skills, and strengthen his job search techniques. Mock interviews helped him refine his approach and prepare for real opportunities, giving him the edge he needed to stand out.
Armed with new skills and confidence, Daniel went on to complete SIA-accredited courses in both Door Supervision and CCTV Operations earning his licenses in both areas with outstanding results.
Through our Security Sector Taster sessions, Daniel gained valuable insight into the different career routes available within the industry. His commitment and determination have already paid off and he is now actively applying for roles and has secured interviews for positions in residential security and event stewarding.
In just two months, Daniel has made remarkable progress towards his employment goals. His journey is a brilliant example of how The Restart Scheme can empower people to unlock their potential and take confident steps into new careers.
It’s been a pleasure to support Daniel throughout his journey, and the team at our Tonbridge office couldn’t be prouder of his achievements. We look forward to seeing his continued success – keep up the great work, Daniel!
