A social enterprise proving that homelessness can be solved – through a stable job, a safe home, and one-to-one support.
With 80% of candidates still in work after twelve months, Standing Tall is redefining homelessness solutions in the UK - showing that with the right support, long-term stability is possible. As a strategic partner of the Social Recruitment Advocacy Group (SRAG), the not-for-profit organisation sets a national example in inclusive recruitment with their innovative model to tackle homelessness.
Why Standing Tall matters to the SRAG
The SRAG network connects employers with organisations driving inclusive hiring across the UK. Standing Tall stands out for delivering results while prioritising dignity, structure, and long-term outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.

Over 100 people supported into full-time employment and housing.
-
A proven retention rate that exceeds traditional recruitment benchmarks.
-
A replicable, high-impact model recognised by employers and communities alike.
How the model works
Standing Tall operates a person-centred, three-part model designed to remove the structural barriers that keep individuals trapped in homelessness.
-
Stable Job - Each candidate is matched with a permanent, full-time role that aligns with their skills and ambitions. Partner employers commit to inclusive recruitment practices that prioritise potential over circumstance.
Safe Home - Through partnerships with local landlords and housing providers, known as Amici Hosts, Standing Tall facilitates access to secure accommodation - enabling a supportive, sustainable transition into work and independent living.
One-to-One Support - Every candidate is referred by trusted partners such as Crisis and Shelter to a local Talent Scout - a trained mentor who matches candidates with jobs and Amici Hosts - and offering practical and emotional support across twelve months. This element plays a key role in reducing drop-out rates and building confidence, leading to independence and ending the cycle of homelessness.
