- Emma Grigson and Laura Savage from PeoplePlus introduced the new ANTZ and PeoplePlus Partnership in support of the SRAG, Social Recruitment Covenant goals, social value and business success UK-wide.
Panel Discussion – Is Social Value here to stay?
- Gavin Devine, Park Street Partners – explored some of the key issues at play in the Election campaign, and explained how and why the SRAG can accelerate social value and social mobility momentum post-election.
- Nick Hayward, Bedford College Group – shared how school-leavers and adult learners alike benefit from their inclusive further education learning environment that can be mirrored in the workplace.
- Carolyn Jay, Ringway – on why it is now a mainstream priority, not a nice to have.
Group Discussions tackled:
- Creating compelling business cases that overcome challenges to prioritising social value.
- The need for social value to be captured and shared by everyone in the organisation to enable impactful, centralised measurement.
The group listened to presentations from:
- Brett Saunders, Recruitment Project Consultant, Lidl, who detailed the variety of tactics Lidl has implemented to recruit and retain ex-military personnel.
- Alex Shapland-Howes, Co-Founder at Ride Tandem, who provide solutions for businesses struggling to attract and keep staff in locations lacking public transport infrastructure.
- Emma Grigson, Partnerships and Social Value Director, PeoplePlus, on evolving Social Value logic models.
