Young Carers Action Day highlighted the vital need for breaks and support for young Carers. Gloucestershire Carers Hub, in partnership with Gloucestershire Young Carers, ensures a smooth transition for young adult Carers (18-25) into ongoing support. We also encourage workplaces to recognise and support young Carers within their teams by fostering awareness, open communication, and flexible working arrangements.

Did you know 1 in 3 people in the UK living with dementia do not have a diagnosis? Dementia Action Week (19–25 May 2025) focuses on the importance of early diagnosis. At PeoplePlus, we support this indirectly through the innovative Gloucestershire Carers Hub, which provides practical help and advice to unpaid carers - many of whom care for someone living with dementia. For professionals, this week is a timely prompt to think not just about people with dementia, but also about the unpaid carers often hidden in plain sight in our workplaces and communities.
